Liz Brandenburg

Instructor: Hip Hop, Turn & Stretch, Jazz, Lyrical, Performance Team Assistant Coach

Liz Brandenburg is a Fargo native who has been dancing since the age of three, beginning under the instruction of the Gasper family at the original Red River Dance and Performing Company. As a teen, she joined a local dance company where she traveled the Midwest performing and competing in all styles of dance. She attended Concordia College where she received a Bachelor of Arts in both Media Communications and English Print Journalism. During this time, she was captain of the nationally ranked Minnesota State University dance team, as well as Competition Director with Red River Dance. Liz has been named Performer of the Year by the United Performing Association and received the Just for Kix Award for Outstanding Choreography for 3 consecutive years with Spotlight Events, as well as with Triple S Dance Competition in 2021. Liz was also a Top 40 finalist on the show “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2007. Her dancing has taken her all over the U.S., including starring in local and national television commercials. 

 

She has led many competitive teams to win countless awards and titles, and as a Grand Champion Choreographer for the Gasper's School of Dance Competition Team, her choreography is sought after across the country.
 
Liz has been teaching all styles of dance for the last 20 years - most recently in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in NM, she choreographed for numerous high school dance teams, as well choreographing for the nationally ranked University of New Mexico dance and spirit program. Liz was also greatly involved with a school-based mentor program that helps underprivileged children and youth. 

 

She is very happy to be dancing back in the Midwest with her Gasper family!
