Early Dance Class Program

About our Early Dance Classes

Our Early Dance Class Program is the perfect introduction to the world of dance for our youngest movers. Designed for ages 2–6, these classes nurture creativity, build confidence, and spark a love for movement in a fun and supportive environment. Dancers will explore the foundations of ballet, jazz, and tap while developing coordination, rhythm, and musicality. Along the way, they’ll also learn important classroom skills like listening, following directions, and working with others—setting the stage for a strong and successful dance journey.

BEFORE CLASS

What to expect?
  • The first few weeks serve as an adjustment period as students become comfortable with the classroom, teacher, and their classmates.

  • Your child will build skills in coordination, listening, rhythm, musical awareness, and creative movement.

  • We use age-appropriate music, stories, and props to keep classes imaginative and engaging.

  • Dancers in Itty Bitty and Pre-Ballet focus on developing classroom behavior, imagination, and body awareness — not just learning steps.

  • Progress may not always be visible right away (and that’s okay!). Growth looks different for every child.

  • Dancers typically remain in Itty Bitty and/or Pre-Ballet for 2–3 seasons, much like our older levels, as they build foundational skills.

Studio Space / Classroom Etiquette

  • Please do not enter studio spaces unless invited by an instructor. This helps keep classes focused and safe.

  • We offer parent portals so you can observe your dancer’s progress without interrupting class.

  • Encourage your child to carry their own bag into the studio — it builds responsibility and independence!

  • Help us keep our lobby tidy — please supervise siblings and dispose of trash properly.

  • Our staff and instructors are committed to your dancer’s growth. Please treat them with respect and kindness — just as we do with your children.
