Q & A with Ms. Miranda
Q. What is your favorite part about teaching?
A. Sharing the love of dance with all kinds of people.
Q. What inspired you as a dancer? (What inspires you?)
A. Dancing is the only time where I feel like I can be 100% me. I'm always searching for authenticity and dancing gives that to me. It's my favorite part of each day :)
Q. Tips for our dancers?
A. Apply critiques quickly. Every time you receive something to work on, it means you caught your teacher's eye!! The sooner you apply it, the better you'll become.
Miranda has been dancing since she was six years old. She grew up in Carrington, ND where dancing opportunities were scarce. She attended Just For Kix, and was later on the high school dance team.
Miranda graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2017 with a degree in music education and a minor in theater dance. Here she learned the importance of differentiated teaching and what it takes to make students of all ages succeed. She was able to study tap, ballet, modern, and choreography.
Miranda was captain of the Dragon Dance Team at MSUM and competed at UDA National Competition in Florida. She understands the importance of a balance between artistic and competitive dance. She now coaches the Dragon Dance Team. Miranda is also active in local community theater and enjoys performing arts.
